Course Description:

Introduction to accident investigation provides an introduction to basic accident investigation procedures and describes accident analysis techniques. The goal of the course is to help participants gain the basic skills necessary to conduct an effective accident investigation.

Who should attend:

Managers and Supervisors (Foremen and Lead Workers) who may be responsible for conducting accident and/or near-miss investigations.

What they 'll learn:

Guidance for identifying root causes of incidents and/or near misses in order to prevent their recurrence

Techniques to approach, identify and control the underlying or root causes of all incidents/accidents in order to prevent their recurrence

Provides guidance on conducting an incident/accident investigation

Accident investigation concepts

Characteristics of an effective accident investigation program
