After a two-year hiatus, the community is invited to celebrate the 25th Annual Record Family Fun Day in the Park. On Saturday, September 17th, thousands of participants will gather at Stocktons Weber Point for an afternoon geared towards increasing literacy, health and community engagement.
The event features thirteen literacy-themed areas: Alphabet Alley, Creative Corner, Eco Expressway, Education Expressway, Friendly Freeway, Healthy Highway, King Author’s Court, Library Lane, Record Road, Recreation Road, Safety City, Satellite Health Care, and Transportation Nation. Each area has interactive booths from community partners like the Stockton Symphony, Stockton Fire and Police departments, live readings with local authors and more. SATURDAY, SEPT 17, 10AM-3PM. See all the details at Family Fun Day at the Park.
September is also National Library Card Sign Up Month, so make plans to visit your local library to get cards for you and your children. Now you can even download digital and audio books right from your computer, or borrow movies, games and puzzles from your local branch.
